Two hours south of Brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park bike ride away. I like to show people around. There is a mountain on my farm with lots of tracks to walk and a creek to swim i Hello and welcome to beautiful Nelson! I have a comfortable private room available for 1 or 2 persons female or male who are interested in learning about hospitality, maintenance and sailing on a large yacht.
Maintenance jobs are varied and not hard, hospitality involves general housekeeping duties. I will assist with both maintenance and housekeeping, am happy to teach when necessary and always willing to listen to suggestions. As for sailing.. I enjoy occasionally sailing to the Abel Tasman National Park and going for hikes when the weather is cooperating. My yacht has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen and saloon. I am generally a quiet person who enjoys reading, conversation and exercise.
I do not permit drugs aboard my yacht and only light drinking no parties please. The ideal helper s will be detail oriented, interested in performing the tasks requested for a few hours each day and exploring Nelson and the surrounding region in exchange for a private room.
Our farm is in a remote and magical scenic area of the outer Marlborough Sounds. We have a number of cattle and their calves, hens, our dog Trixie, our cat Elmo, 2 friendly pet sheep, Ivan and Mavis.
There are always interesting things that need attending to on the farm and in our vegetable garden. We have many areas of garden and regenerating native bush. Plenty of variety on the projects. We have good beaches and nice walks. Your own transport is the easiest or there is a passenger service from Rai Valley Village. Check out our website if you need public transport. We make compost and use animal manures as fertilisers.
