In-bound Pursuit- Officers responded to the area of SW Philomath Blvd to prepare for a pursuit of a reported homicide suspect inbound from the coast.
Officers were staged strategically along SW Philomath Blvd in case side street traffic needed to be blocked from turning onto Philomath Blvd. Suspect was taken into custody west of the city of Philomath and CPD officers were not involved.
The victim, a year-old male Corvallis resident, was contacted at the scene and denied any altercation. No arrests were made or citations issued. A resident and child found what they believed to be a firearm in a nearby park. The item was discovered to be a realistic looking pellet gun. The item was collected to be destroyed to avoid further concern. Warrant Arrest- Officers contacted a year-old male, no fixed address, in the block of NW 9 th St.
The male was cited for outstanding warrants. Theft- Officers responded to the block of NW 25 th St for the report of a shopping cart stolen by an unknown person from a food bank. Fraud- Officer received a report from a resident in the block of NW 20 th St after the resident learned her house was listed on the internet for rent, which the owner did not do.
The listing was reported as fraudulent to the online company and should be removed within 24 hours. Trespass- A year-old male, no fixed address, was contacted in the block of NW Monroe Ave and issued a trespass notice after complaints of behavior at the library.
