They prospered here for 40 years as business people and breeders of fine horses. They moved to California in , but never forgot friends and neighbors back home.
After Mary died in , Henry resolved to do something lasting in her memory. Allen Hospital was dedicated on Mary's birthday in November and opened in February Five generations of Cedar Valley families have been beneficiaries of his gift ever since. Today, Allen Hospital is the busiest hospital in the Cedar Valley. We care for more inpatients, outpatients, emergency patients and cardiac patients than any other hospital in our county service area. United Medical Park and Prairie Parkway offer outpatient care in facilities that are built for your comfort and convenience.
