City regeneration will cost millions kelly. At a special meeting held on Monday morning, the Chichester Post was briefed on updates on the regeneration project, titled Southern Gateway, by Chichester District Council.
Areas include the bus station and depot, Basin Road car park, law courts, former Chichester police station playing field, the the old Chichester High School buildings and Royal Mail depot buildings. The project, estimated to take around four years of construction work, features new homes, business and retail space, leisure and tourism facilities and improved transport links with a focus on cycling, walking and public transport.
