Matching to the specialty program includes a one-year Internal Medicine Preliminary Residency PGY-1 that is available only for trainees who complete all of their residency training at Mayo Clinic's campus in Florida.
The goal of the one-year Internal Medicine Preliminary Residency is to provide a solid foundation for further training in anesthesiology, dermatology, neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, radiation oncology, and radiology advanced programs.
