Chez Max is the original Moroccan 'ethno-chic' earth house. Built in a bibical Berber village called Tagadert and run like a home. Built around three courtyards, the house has six comfortable rooms, each different and all charming. Only let out as a whole house, and is ideal for small groups of friends or family. The pool provides a perfect summer cool-off and is heated throughout the winter months.
The four walled gardens are beautiful all year round and full of hidey-holes, while the surrounding village, gentle hills and olive groves provide just as much natural distraction, be it on a stroll or viewed from the roof terrace. Tasty Moroccan and European meals are prepared by magical cook Saida, including her famous cous-cous with caramelised onions and raisins.

These let you explore the country; and when you wish to explore in person, or if you have any questions about the places you see, give our staff a call, or request a quote. Our staff regularly visit the places and accommodation that we feature. When you book a holiday with us we will provide full driving instructions for reaching your accommodation, where necessary; these can be used by yourself, or you could enjoy the luxury of a driver.
Alternatively we will arrange private car rather than coach transfers for you; helicopter transfers are also possible for some destinations. We had an excellent time at Chez Max. The house is beautiful and we were well looked after. We were slightly taken aback at the prices in Marrakech etc which were on par with London! Malika S who stayed here in October Chez Max added a whole new dimension to what was already a wonderful trip, giving us a flavor of Berber culture and allowing us to explore further into the Atlas mountains.
