We plan short-term and time-limited breaks for families and other unpaid care givers of children with a developmental delay, children with behavioral problems, adults with an intellectual disability, and adults with cognitive loss in order to support and maintain the primary care giving relationship.
Respite also provides a positive experience for the person receiving care. Postoperative care is the care you receive after a surgical procedure. The type of postoperative care you need depends on the type of surgery you have, as well as your health history. It often includes pain management and wound care. Chronic illness is one that lasts for a long period of time and typically cannot be cured. It is, however, sometimes treatable and manageable.
This means that with some chronic illnesses, you or your loved one can return to everyday activities. With other chronic illnesses, it may be difficult to participate in everyday activities or the condition may be progressive, getting worse with time.
Physical disabilities or special needs have unique care requirements. Mobility may be limited and skilled care is required. Skilled nursing visits can be done hourly or by the visit. Our clients generally need more extensive personal and home care than family or friends can provide.
Special needs caregiving services can be part-time, full-time, or around the clock. From newborns until the age of 18, pediatric medicine covers everything from vaccinations and checkups to sleeping and feeding problems, obesity, learning issues and mental health.
