The vegan scene in Berlin continues to thrive, making it a popular international vegan destination and a plant-based dream for locals.
Practically every restaurant in Berlin has at least decent vegan options, and there are plenty of fully plant-based eateries as well. This way you know what to expect from the menu before you visit. In fact, I typically update this post once a month because I keep learning about and trying cool plant-based eateries in this city. BTW β I know this post is quite long, so for shorter Berlin vegan guides, click here. The following are tagged:.
Most of their food is served tapas style so you can easily try several of their best dishes. The dim sum is especially delicious, brimming with a savory blend of pumpkin and seitan. Their classic sea salt chocolate chip is a must order for your first time visiting, the flaky sea salt perfectly brings out the rich flavors of the chocolate. Better yet, everything is plant-based! Alaska Bar is one of my favorite places on this list. This fully plant-based restaurant does all the classic vegan brunch specialties quite well; this includes eggy tofu scrambles, carrot lox, and overnight oats.
Their eggy scramble is rather unique for the plant-based world. It tastes similar to a traditional egg salad and the texture is very close to that of a classic egg. I really liked it! Their baked goods and raw treats also look downright scrumptious. Admittedly, they can be a tad pricier than I typically like to spend on brunch, but great quality food is certainly present. Definitely go for their deviled potato dish the creaminess and deviled egg flavoring were divine and their shredded tofu potato fennel medley on sourdough was also yummy.
