Overall, though, the cabin got a decisive thumbs up from the family who thought it was superior to the equivalent on board the Bretagne earlier this year. I had upgraded us as a family to the C-Club Lounge, which I will comment on below, so we headed there for drinks before watching us depart exactly to time.
Given our departure time, we had eaten before, but many people were taking advantage! The choice of main meals included calamari, beef stew and a curry, and there was a tremendous selection of sweet items including macaroons and a variety of cakes - which we did tuck into! The food was very evidently the same selection used in the buffet restaurants on other members of the fleet. A range of soft drinks was available along with wine from bottles or on tap , plus hot drinks. The lounge was busy, but not full, whereas the rest of the ship seemed heavily loaded especially the Plaza Mayor bar, which was completely full with people relaxing in a holiday mood.
