My path to becoming a licensed therapist has taken some time and seen some lengthy tangents. Before opening my private practice, I worked in both middle and elementary schools and I spent six years practicing psychotherapy in a non-profit clinic.
During my formal training as a therapist, I counseled diverse populations in a variety of settings, counseled individuals, couples, and families, and facilitated groups of children and adults. Each client who comes into my office can expect to be treated with respect and compassion. From your first contact with me, I will be determined to help you find the services you need and the help you seek.
I personally return all phone calls and e-mails in a timely fashion. I offer a free consultation in order to answer questions and give you the opportunity to make a considered decision about choosing me as your therapist. I am connected to my community of fellow therapists through a consultation network that I access on a regular basis. I am a member in good standing of two professional organizations, and I routinely acquire more units of continuing education than that required by the state licensing board.
