Massage therapists who hold National Certification must obtain 24 continuing education units CEUs every two-years to maintain their Board Certification credential.
Massage Therapists who are licensed through Arizona State are required to obtain 36 CEUs every three years to maintain licensure. Practitioners are not required to complete continuing education for the triennial registration period during which they are first licensed. All other registered massage therapists are required to complete 24 hours, the equivalent of 1 hour per month, of acceptable continuing education. Unless indicated otherwise for lectures or specific workshops, all workshop participants must be licensed in Arizona State in one of the touch professions such as; Massage Therapy, Nursing, Chiropractic, Physical Therapy or Osteopathy.
