I never knew that I would love Birdman so much; I went into this film thinking that it was going to achieve an extremely high 4 star rating but I came out of Birdman giving it a solid 5 star rating, firstly the film is about an actor who has completely lost his reputation with the audience he once had and he is trying to redeem himself by directing his own stage play; so the film's morale lesson is about making sure you climb back up when you fall down and that is what this character is trying to do throughout the entire course of this movie I mean that's amazing in my opinion, secondly the music in this film makes you want to buy the soundtrack after you have seen this film; the soundtrack is so exceptional that to this day I am still trying to get the album for this film, my favourite song in Birdman is when Riggan Thomson is flying through the air and above the streets of New York I mean making your film look like one constant shot is one of the most ambitious things I have ever seen in a film; Boyhood may be ambitious due to it being filmed over 12 years but in order to do that all you need is patience Cert ificate.
