The Legal and Human Rights Centre LHRC is a Tanzanian human rights advocacy organization founded in as a non-governmental, voluntary, nonpartisan, and not-for-profit sharing organization to empower and enlighten Tanzanians about their legal and human rights. LHRC has four offices, namely: the head office located in Kijitonyama, Dar es Salaam; a model legal aid office situated in Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam; and two sub-offices one located in Arusha and the other in Dodoma Regions.

Develop initiatives to enhance access to justice, legal aid, and advocacy for vulnerable groups. Establish and maintain partnerships with civil society organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to maximize impact and reach.
Represent LHRC in meetings, conferences, and other platforms to advocate for issues related to empowerment and accountability. Develop educational materials and resources to raise awareness about rights and responsibilities among target populations. Utilize data and evidence to inform programmatic decisions and improve effectiveness.
