Authorities are searching for year-old Billy Mason who ran away from the Hennepin County Jail as he was being moved to another facility on Sunday. Court records show Mason had warrants in four separate counties before he was arrested last week.
Anyone with information about Mason's whereabouts is encouraged to call Mason had been granted a conditional release on a case he faced in Hennepin County but was being moved to Ramsey County, where he was wanted on another warrant. However, during the transport process, he was able to run out of an open security garage door at the jail. At the time, he was handcuffed with a waistband. Police say Mason reported having no permanent residence when he was booked into jail. A statement from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office reads:. In Hennepin, he was wanted for failing to appear on a summons in a domestic abuse case where he is accused of violating an order of protection. In Anoka County, he's also wanted on charges of violating an order of protection. In Rice County, he's facing a theft case. It's unclear what Mason was wanted for in Ramsey County. A fundraiser has been launched to help with the man's medical expenses.
