Hi there Im Nina Im looking to possibly stay in Malta between the months of July and August next year and would greatly appreciate if anyone could give me some useful advice on where I could look for some temporary work delivering my complementary therapy treatments aromatherapy massage whether this be in a hotel or with a company along the beaches of one of the main towns.
I have considered being self employed for this period of time however travelling over with all of my equipment would be very difficult. I would be happy to work for a hotel company if this is possible but I really dont know how things work over there. Could anyone give me any advice? Feedback will be greatly anticipated Thankyou. Hi Nina and welcome to the forum. Try contacting the larger hotels on the island. You won't find these practices near the beaches as there are not many beaches.
They are usually dotted across the larger towns or in the hotels. I wish you luck Ricky. Thankyou for your advice. And What is ETC? Do you know of any main hotels you could recommend to me that I could email to start off with? And just to confirm, so I could still deliver aspects of aromatherapy treatment as long as I just classified this as massage in general? Hi Nina, as I said, as far as I know aromatherapy or massage does not fall under the Complementary Medicine Act unless it is part of 'Physiotherapy'.
Knowing Malta if you ask too many questions you might be asked to prove that what you are delivering is not Complementary Medicine. If it where you would not get a permit to deliver it anyway. Best would be to contact one of the Spa's and ask.
As to the hotels and Spa's just Google Aromatherapy and Malta. I personally do not have any contacts in that area. For EU citizens working in Malta you have to inform them but you don't need a work permit since April When it comes to relocating to Malta, many people think about working in Valletta.
