It is the answer for working and busy parents concerned about leaving their children in unsupervised environments. The Corpus Christi Meals On Wheels program provides home-delivered meals to homebound elderly individuals. At the core of the Meals On Wheels service is a nutritious meal, companionship and a watchful eye on the health and safety of our seniors. The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program works to engage Americans 55 years and older in volunteer service to meet critical community needs and works to provide a high-quality experience for the volunteers.
Senior Companions serve between 15 and 40 hours a week. Four recreation centers throughout the city offer a variety of programs for youth ages 6 to 16 including after school recreation, school break camps, summer camps and a free snack program, as well as community events for everyone to enjoy.
