Boards Fallout 4 Survival mode help - Stuck Companions. Hello all, I've run into a bit of a problem doing Automatron here. I WAS able to get to her and fix it but only because I was very lucky, and need to know if this is a problem that will ever fix itself had the specific lucky circumstances not been there. She gave some line about meeting you there cause she can't fly, yadda yadda, okay robofriend that's cool.
Now here's the kicker, the Verti didn't take me to the airport. For some reason it landed waaaaaaaay up on one of the overpasses by Pickman's Gallery and Faneuil Hall. Fortunately I was in power armor that I'd picked up during the quest randomly, and hopped down and slogged the rest of the way to the airport. Sleep, save, and realize that I need to speak to Ada, and she's not there, so bust out the tracker and she's still on that stupid overpass. She never came with me. Now, we all know companions can teleport, they do it all the time, but she just elected not to, and to sit there.
Way up there. I sleep again. I go up to the Prydwen and back. Makes you either just tell em to stay first or give them power armor. I also cannot summon her to the robot workbench. She has just decided to live the rest of her life up on that overpass and I can't continue the quest or get to her. Now, where I got lucky is, I had a jetpack from completing the game with the Brotherhood, they give you one. I have Armorer 4 and Science 4 as well but then they just gave me one.
No character is by any means guaranteed a jetpack unless they invest heavily to get one. I went back to the overpass and it just so happened to be above a building destroyed into staggered sections, and I was able to jetpack up level by level, get on a random truck, and get up on the overpass and pick her up. Without these very specific conditions Automatron would have just been broken forever unless there is some sorta mechanism that will eventually bring your wayward soul back to you.
