The needs of the patient are multifactorial and can be complex, considering multiple issues at the e time and involving multiple disciplines.

Hematological diseases can be broadly divided into malignant and nonmalignant hematological diseases. The underlying hematological disease and cumulative effects of previous therapy can influence the degree and range of side effects and symptoms experienced following HSCT conditioning therapy.
These effects can manifest as physical complaints such as fatigue, fever, infection, and bleeding and can result in complex illness necessitating specialist care and treatment.
