The Columbus Adult Education Center is honored to provide English services to adults so they may become self-reliant, productive citizens. Classes are free and are open to all religions, ethnicities and nationalities. We strive to create a welcoming gathering place that fosters cultural exchange and understanding.
By offering opportunities for service, we aim to strengthen community bonds and promote a more inclusive society. Encouraging Faith in God At the Columbus Adult Education Center, we encourage faith in God in order to provide students and participants with a holistic education that promotes ethical values, nurtures character development, and instills a sense of purpose and meaning.

Get Involved. Adult Enrollment. The center is a volunteer organization. Volunteers and donations are always needed. It was originally created to meet the needs of a small congregation of Karen and Karenni speaking families within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Now we serve adults and youth from other countries. Recognizing that the acquisition of English skills would be essential for non-English speakers, in order to acquire good jobs, earn GEDs or high school diplomas, and have the opportunity for higher education, local church members were determined to help. Local church leaders provided great support.
