He was 80 years old. He was born in Canton, SD on Nov. His family moved to Minneapolis, MN where he attended high school at Minnehaha Academy, then later attended and played football for Augsburg College.
It was there that he met the lovely Rosemary Ann Sheldahl. They eventually married on June 26, in Minneapolis, MN. As a young boy, Ingolf felt the Lord calling him into the Ministry and as a result he attended Luther Seminary where he received his M. He began his ministry work in the Chicago area and then moved on to Wisconsin followed by Montana and eventually settling in Kirkland, WA in It was here that he and Rosie really built their ministry and laid roots for their family.
He had a heart for ministry and a love for people that extended far beyond the church in which he was serving. A trip to the grocery store, to the bank, or watching a grandsons ballgame were all ministry opportunities where it was not uncommon for him to end up sharing Jesus with whomever he would strike up a conversation. In addition to serving in numerous churches, he also served for many years as a police and fire chaplain in the greater Seattle area.
Ingolf had a great love for adventure and the outdoors. He and Rosie could often be found down at the lake or by a beautiful mountain scene where they would pray, read the Bible or just have a picnic. Another one of his favorite things to do was to watch his grandsons participate in their activities whether it was football, soccer, basketball, baseball games or band concerts and school plays.
Basically, anything to do with the family were his favorite things to do. He was a tremendously loving Husband, Father, Grandpa, friend and mentor to so many.
