Scoby, 45, died in the line of duty after being shot while pursuing a fleeing suspect on foot during the evening of Dec. His coworkers and community rallied around him after his death and spoke fondly of his character. Countless times I have seen him around town helping people, doing whatever he can for the community. It's a great loss for our community to lose such a great officer like him. Asa Hutchinson said Sgt. Scoby would be remembered for his courage and dedication to his community.
