It is located in the Swabia region of Bavaria, in the municipality of Schwangau, above the incorporated village of Hohenschwangau, which is also the location of Hohenschwangau Castle.
The weather and the places we went to contributed to a winter wonderland experience. I felt their presence. Our group had a winter wonderland experience with all the snow! We saw beautiful towns, wonderful Christmas markets, and were lucky enough to get snow.
The hotels were lovely. I hope to visit Hotel zur Post in Ruhpolding again sometime. Rudi and Agnes were wonderful hosts. The restaurant had great food. Jim, as usual, was a fun tour manager. We had so much laughter and fun.
