I don't know how seedy the Pittsburgh Motel on Steubenville Pike is nowadays, I understand they are renting their inexpensive rooms out on a long term basis mostly to an otherwise homeless population.
Pittsburgh really doesn't have a "redlight district" now like back in the day, but we still have plenty enough vice. Redlight districts have vanished in a lot of places, including Pittsburgh.
Strip joints have gone upscale, porn became available in regular video stores, and then online, and prostitution is mostly done over the internet now. Bye bye red light district! It's a far cry from the 70's, when Liberty Avenue was major center of vice, with strip joints, massage parlors, peep shows, and a large amount of street prostitution. Fifth and Forbes, Uptown was another major hoe strip during that era. Uptown kid. Uptown and Moon Township are our closest areas to red light districts judging by the news Do you guys know of any "Glory Holes" or opium dens in the region?
Trying to make our guide as all inclusive as possible. Extended-stay motels that abut "questionable" neighborhoods Pittsburgh's North Side are usually interesting places to go.
