Brookdale CPV is a great senior care facility to live in the rest of your life or temporarily while you recover. I was very happy while living there for 9 months during the COVID 19 precautions and did not feel confined or bored! The company of the other residents and the kindness and caring of the wonderful staff kept me in great spirits. I went to their Assisted Living program from a rehab facility after fracturing my pelvic bones to a significant degree.
I received excellent assistance for my daily care until I fully recovered and then staff continued to provide me the care I needed as I deemed necessary. We also had activities that kept us strong and sharp with physical exercises, brain activities and recreational activities, All the Senior living facilities of which I have since read descriptions, this has the best activity package that keeps every resident alert and on their toes so to speak.
Due to my restricted diet due to several minor physical symptoms, the kitchen did not always have my dietary needs but they specially obtained some items for me that were not on their menu and kitchen staff were also proactive in obtaining items on the menu that I did tolerate and liked but had forgotten to order!! The very few but surmountable drawbacks for me were the age of the building that needed repairs often, to which the excellent maintenance staff attended promptly!
Some of those drawbacks were made up for me by the beautiful koi pond in the middle of the building that was a source of peace and tranquility for me and I often took walks around it for exercise! The other issue was the cost that seemed high but I had since heard that others were able to obtain a lower fee. Perhaps it was a supply and demand issue, I am not certain.
