Meridian M2 cables question. Thread starter garyi Start date Dec 18, I want to scratch an itch on these speakers, just trying to find a pair! I have never truely understood what balanced means but can I just check if I was to hook up standard phones from a dac to it, can I expect them to work?
Anyone got a pair they want to sell me? They also have a line input via a phono plug. So it does, that was dumb of me lol.
Could you explain a little on the volume bit? Is their preamp pushing out more than the normal 2v? I bought some M2s and a matching Meridian B preamp, maybe 15 years ago, again to satisfy the itch of curiosity as I had very fond memories of how big, bold and dramatic they sounded circa at Eulipion Audio.
With the B they were very uninspiring Swapping out the for a Naim using some custom made XLR-RCA cables was a significant improvement but did not really change the tonal balance that much. But even with the , they still did not have the grin factor or gestalt that the active DBLs in the same room managed with ease.
