The waiting room had a single black couch that could sit two people and a rectangular coffee table in front of it. With nowhere else to sit, I remained standing at the entrance, slipped off my shoes and put on a pair of slippers, and waited.
A few minutes later, the manager led the salaryman to the massage rooms and I sat down on the couch taking his place. On the coffee table in front of me was the menu of possible massage options, durations and their prices. The three types of massages available where regular, oil and powder. He nodded, took out a book, and flipped it open. He then went through the pages and showed me the ladies currently available. Judging by their photos, all the girls looked like they were in their mid to late twenties; they all looked attractive.
I pointed at Minami and he nodded. I placed 14,YEN on the money tray, stood up, and the manager led me to the massage rooms. The back room area consisted of long hallway with massage rooms on either side.
There were six rooms. He led me to the first door on the left, pointed inside, and asked me to undress and put on the bathrobe, then closed the door behind me. The massage room was larger than I had expected. The room had a dimmed orange glow from the ceiling lights.
A mat the size of a single cot was on the floor. Spanning the perimeter of the room, at the bottom of the walls, was a mirror about two feet tall. I undressed, placing my clothes on the hangers provided, and changed into the white robe. After about five minutes later, I heard a knock on the door and Minami entered.
