So has anyone done anything similar or recommend somewhere to leave the car for a week. Paying for secure parking is not an issue. Location Midlands. It is not the answer to the question you are asking - I live around 30miles north of where I assume you would be starting - If Im taking the Harwich boat on a Friday night I leave home just before 6pm - I can get to the port with 2hrs to spare by train - bit of a faff - to Euston easy - a short ride to Liverpool street - find lift that is working - train to port - kill time in the station no point in hanging around on draughty port side for too long.
