Shortly thereafter, a very special natural spectacle awaits you: the Danube breakthrough at Weltenburg Monastery, where the Danube has carved its way through a massive Jurassic rock. Strengthen yourselves in the beer garden of the monastery, before you arrive with the ship by the Danube breakthrough to Kelheim.
Alternatively, you can stay overnight in Abensberg and take the boat trip the following day. You cycle along the Abens and then the Danube to Weltenburg Monastery, where a very special natural spectacle awaits you: the Danube Gorge, where the Danube has dug its way through a massive Jura rock.
